Giving hope with art

Had a great afternoon yesterday at the charity fair for the Krebsliga Beider Basel. It was organised by the Basel School of Business. It was a beautiful afternoon with lots of sunshine but it was nice and cool in the garden.

The house in which the Krebsliga Beider Basel is situated is a lovely old, large house, which has been beautifully restored to its old glory and when you are in the garden you do not realise that you are in the centre of Basel. The only noise you hear is birdsong, except the occasional helicopter bringing patients to the university hospital, which is just around the corner!

We were a really international crowd but I don't think there was a Swiss among the exhibitors. Also the people that found their way into the garden were international and when talking to customers you first had to find out which language to use. It was very interesting and I had some great conversations.

Unfortunately less people than hoped for came into this beautiful garden but I think we still got some money together for the charity and also helped pupils of the Basel School of Business with their project.
