Project - bucket bag with faux suede for the bottom part

I have bought some beautiful faux suede and have started my first bag with this material. It is a yummy looking milk chocolate color which I will use for the bottom part of the bag and the top part will be a middle brown background with vertical velvet stripes in various shades of green and beige. There will be one outside zippered pocket but I will still have to work out what the inside will look like. I have not yet chosen the lining fabric yet.

Do you see the little needle booklet on the top right? I found it again while going through my sewing baskets and it's nearly antique. It was one of my first projects in primary school, over sixty years ago now!
