Third place only!

My thanks to everybody who voted for me in the Bag of the Month contest. However, I was outvoted and only made it to the third place!

ETSY Treasury

I did not get the first prize in the Bag of the Month contest (won the second prize, though) but my Duo of Quattros was featured in an ETSY Treasury List. A beautiful list of summery fashion!

Handbag of the month

My Duo of Quattros won the second prize in the Handbag of the Month contest for June organised by Studiokatdesigns! I was very pleased about this. Not just because it gives me a 40% discount on the next pattern I buy from them but it gives me the satisfaction that my bags (or at least pictures of them) are appreciated.

Here again the picture of the bags:

The bag on the right was sold during my 'Open House Shop'.

The city slicker

I finished this bag today just in time for my 'Open House Shop' tomorrow. It was a pattern of ChrisW Designs as part of the 'Bag of the Month' series. I made the Intermediate design even simpler on the inside but I am very pleased with the result and it still has 2 small and one large slip pocket inside.

Thank goodness for rivets. I find that my sewing machine does no longer take kindly to thick fabrics. I will have to have my machine checked and at the same time enquire about a new one! Still, the bag looks fabulous. It will be interesting to see if anybody will pick it up tomorrow!
